Preston Jack Provost

Preston Jack Provost, 67, a Minden resident since 2001, died Aug. 21, 2004, in Minden

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley, followed by services there at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Provost was born Dec. 13, 1936, in Massachusetts to Preston and Antoinette Provost.

He married Jenice Provost. Before moving to Minden, he lived in San Jose, Calif.

Mr. Provost owned a construction company in Agawam, Mass. After moving to San Jose, he directed operations and maintenance for Saratoga-Los Gatos Union High School, retiring in 1994.

He was a member of Edge Tractor Association in Carson City. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his father, his daughter Sherry Provost, and his brother Jerry Provost.

His survivors include his wife of 14 years, Jenice of Minden; sons Preston Jack Provost Jr. of Springfield , Mass., and Timothy Jack Provost of Minden; daughter Jacquelyn Cecchini of Connecticut; mother, Ann Cowan of Springfield; five grandsons; and one great-grandson.
