Carol Murphy of Realty Executives of Northern Nevada and Joe Mayer of Mayer & Associates have been honored by the Reno/Sparks Association of Realtors for community service.
Murphy, a member of the association since 1989,was recognized as Realtor of the Year.
She is a past president of the group and has served at state and national levels of the Realtor organization.
She has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, serves as chair of the Washoe County Board of Adjustment and will serve as a National Association of Realtors committee chair and state president of the Women's Council of Realtors this year.
Mayer received the association's Mat Gibbons Memorial Award for service to the community and real estate profession.
He's served on the Nevada Real Estate Commission and is a member of the Washoe County Airport Authority.He is a past member of the Sparks Planning Commission and a past director of the Reno/Sparks Association of Realtors.
