Eagle acquires Texas oil wells

Eagle Environmental Technologies Ltd.

of Reno said last week it closed the purchase of producing oil and gas properties in east Texas.

The publicly traded company said it purchased equipment and 153 wells 15 of them in production in a property called the Siler lease near Price, Texas.

John Bowles, a spokesman for Eagle Environmental, said the wells are producing 35 barrels a month, but the company plans to bring more wells back into production beginning in January.

Financial terms of the acquisition weren't disclosed.

The company's common stock, which traded as high as 25 cents a share

this autumn, was quoted at 7 cents last week.
