Edith G. Forst, 85, a Gardnerville resident for the past year, died Feb. 10, 2004, at Carson Valley Medical Center. She was born April 28, 1918, in Ohio, to Herbert W. and Marie Hoglan Hamilton.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in Findlay, Ohio.
Mrs. Forst worked in the insurance industry. She was a member of the North Broadway United Methodist Church in Columbus, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband Porter B., son Porter Lee and brother Herbert Hamilton.
Among her survivors are her son James W. of Gardnerville; brother Howard Hamilton of Columbus, Ohio; sisters Mary German and Dorothy Lindsay, both of Columbus; and six grandchildren.
A family service will be at a later date.
