Airport helps school, Make-A-Wish charity

The Airport Authority of Washoe County last week donated $1,221 raised in its annual holiday gingerbread house display.

The airport donated $500 to Make-AWish Foundation to help terminally ill children in Nevada.

The remainder of the money went to Swope Middle School, which helps create the display, to help students who can't afford basic school supplies.
