A memorial Mass for Mary Jo Gleeson will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Ms. Gleeson died Feb. 26, 2004, in Carson City. She was born Sept. 21, 1918, in San Francisco to Edgar T. and Nell Mulcare Gleeson. She was 85.
She attended high school in San Rafael, Calif., and earned her bachelor's degree from the Dominican College in San Rafael.
Prior to living in Carson City, she lived in San Rafael for 54 years. She was a bookkeeper at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno and an ombudsman at Carson-Tahoe Hospital, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Catholic church.
Among her survivors are her longtime companion, Phyllis E. Otten of her home; and cousin, Geraldine Putnam of Los Gatos, Calif.
Cremation is under direction of Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
