Adrian Freund, director of Washoe County's community development department, has been named president of the Nevada chapter of the American Planning Association.
The Nevada group has 376 members including 76 planning board members.
Freund has more than 20 years of leadership experience in APA.
He was president of the Wisconsin Chapter and served two four-year terms on the national board of directors.
