David Chairez has been promoted to financial analyst for the tariff and compliance division of the Nevada Public Utilities Commission, and Cynthia Bologna has been promoted to compliance investigator for the PUC's consumer complaint resolution division.
Chairez joined the commission staff in 1997, serving as the consumer education specialist and the assistant public information officer for five years and as the public information officer since 2002.
Upon graduation from the University of Nevada,Las Vegas in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in economics, Chairez was a constituent services representative for former U.S.
Senator Richard H.
Bryan.
Bologna joined the PUC staff in 2001 as an administrative assistant and progressed to a legal secretary prior to her promotion.
Bologna, fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, is working on a bachelor's degree in business management at the University of Phoenix and expects to graduate next summer.
