The body of an 18-year-old snowboarder lost in the Mokelumne Wilderness for six days was found Sunday.
Ryan Joseph Rush of Valley Springs, east of Lodi, Calif., was identified in Calaveras County at 12:30 p.m. by the Alpine County Search and Rescue Team in a wooded area near Bear Valley Ski Resort.
Rush went out of bounds from the ski area, the Alpine County Sheriff's Department reported.
An investigation is ongoing. The cause of death is still undetermined, but an avalanche has been ruled out.
