A memorial service for Iva Bernice Moder, 75, a Carson Valley resident for many years, was held Jan. 15 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville.
Mrs. Moder died Jan. 11, 2004, at Evergreen Care Center on her 30th wedding anniversary. She was born Aug. 9, 1928, in Austin, Texas, to John James and Iva Belle Burchard.
Mrs. Moder was a homemaker.
Among her survivors are her husband, Fred of Minden; sons Dana Hanefeld of South Bend, Ind., and Chris Hanefeld of Ely; grandson Kevin Hanefeld of Hastings, Neb.; and brother John W. Burchard of Florence, Texas.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
