Eagle Environmental Technologies Ltd.
of Reno said last week it closed a $970,000 sale of equipment to ECI of Tunisia.
The equipment will produce caustic soda from concentrated brines.
Brian D.Wilmot, chief executive officer of the publicly held company, said the system is expected to be ready for operation by late spring.
Eagle Environmental Technologies develops systems that recycle or eliminate hazardous waste and filter water.
The process it will install in Tunisia includes a new proprietary system to concentrate and pre-treat the feed stock, Wilmot said.
