Manuel Lopez-Leon

A graveside service for Manuel Lopez-Leon, 73, a Carson City resident for the past 11 years, will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Mr. Lopez-Leon died Jan. 16, 2004, at Washoe Medical Center. He was born Dec. 26, 1931, in Durango, Mexico, to Enrique Lopez and Teofila Leon.

He attended schools in Mexico.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Mexico.

Mr. Lopez-Leon was a farmer, retiring in 1992. He was a Catholic.

Among his survivors are his wife Maria Luisa Lopez and sons Javier, Alvaro, Francisco and Bernardo, all of Carson City; daughters Silvia Teran of Truckee, Monica Lopez of Sacramento, and Elva Mandoki, Linda Quintero and Lilia Lopez of Carson City; sisters Julia Dominguez of Reno, and Petra, Virginia and Antonia Lopez; brothers Jose, Ricardo, Victor, Bernardo and Ignacio Lopez of Mexico; and 22 grandchildren.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
