A graveside service for Michael Edward Otto, 56, a Gardnerville resident for the past two years, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Garden Cemetery in Gardnerville.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Otto died July 11, 2004, in Carson City. He was born April 18, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio, to Jack and Jeanette Otto.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in San Diego, Calif., for many years.
Mr. Otto enjoyed camping, off-roading, fishing, boating and racing cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Among his survivors are his longtime companion, Mari Otto of Gardnerville; son, Michael of Australia; sister, Susan Ratliff of La Canada, Calif.; brother, George of Las Vegas; and nephew, Casey Otto of Gardnerville.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
