Timberline and Lakeview areas of west Carson City, major power lines to Lake Tahoe, Carson City's water system, timber and wildlife habitat.

Water:

Carson City's water supply has not been contaminated. West Carson tanks at 46 percent

Cooperating agencies include Reno Fire, Storey County Fire, Carson City Fire, Carson City Sheriff, Douglas County Fire, Lyon County Fire, Lake Tahoe Fire Districts, Nevada Office of Emergency Management, Sierra Pacific Power, Nevada Air National Guard, Carson City Utilities Department, Red Cross, Carson City School District, Fallon Naval Air Station, and the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Fire Objectives For Overnight Period-through 6 a.m.

1) Protect life and property.

2) Effect evacuation of Timberline and Lakeview if needed.

3) Patrol and minimize damage in Longview, Ash, and King Canyon urban area, as well as the Carson

Indian Colony.

4) Keep fire out and minimize structure loss in Ash Canyon, Timberline, Lakeview, Carson Indian

Reservation, and the community college.

5) Keep fire south of Franktown Road.

6) Keep fire north of Highway 50.

7) Keep the fire east of the Tahoe Rim Trail

8) Start the rehabilitation program.

Resource advisers will begin determining what needs to be done to begin restoring the ecosystem to a healthy state.

9) Determine and improve roads as necessary for firefighting access.

Friday

A Town Hall meeting has been set for 9 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Carson City Community Center to brief residents on events and activities related to the Waterfall fire. Officials from the Carson City Fire Department, Nevada Division of Forestry and the U.S. Forest Service will be on hand to answer questions. The community center is at 851 E.
