A 4-mile moderate hike with an elevation gain of 800 feet.

Known for wildflowers, this area is spectacular.

Outdoor ice skating in 80 degree temperatures.

Swimming pool and giant Jacuzzi.

Meet at ice rink on top of the mountain at 2 p.m.

Price: $20 for skating or swimming or $5 for both.

Leave about 6:30 p.m. to eat dinner together in Truckee, Calif.
