Birch A. Ober, 82, died July 25, 2004, in Carson City. He was born March 19, 1922, in Clements, Kan., to Ralph R. and Lottie Stephenson Ober.
He married Lois Taylor June 25, 1946, in Santa Barbara, Calif.
He had lived in the Reno, Tahoe and Carson City area since 1960.
Mr. Ober was a lifetime member of Sertoma Club. He enjoyed camping at Lake Webber, fishing, hunting and traveling.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; son Terry G. of Washoe Valley; son and daughter-in-law Russell and Mary of Fontana, Calif.; brother Jim of Lake Tahoe; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be at a later date.
Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
