Aug. 7 (Saturday) - Emigrant Lake day hike.
In the Carson Pass area.
Hike from Caples Lake (along shoreline) to Emigrant Lake for a cold swim.
A moderate 8-mile hike with an elevation gain of 1,000 feet.
No dogs.

Aug. 8 (Sunday) - Jones Creek day hike.
An up and back trip.
Moderate fast pace.
A 6-mile hike with an elevation gain of 1,000 feet.
Bring water and trail shoes.
