Kay Vaughn, 80, a Carson City resident for the past nine years, died June 7, 2004, at home. She was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Phoenix City, Ala., to Jack T. and Nellie Felts Freeman.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Stateline.
Mrs. Vaughn worked as a dealer at the lake for many years. She enjoyed pottery and oil painting and was an avid gardener.
Among her survivors are her husband, Larry, of Carson City; brother, Jack Freeman of Nashville, Tenn.; and sisters Bessie Lee Ellis of Euless, Texas, and Peggy Ann Kershner of Ocala, Fla.
At her request, there will be no service.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
