The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• A 40-year-old construction worker from Carson City was arrested at 7:23 a.m. Thursday at Woodside and Monte Rosa drives on suspicion of misdemeanor speeding, no seat belts, failure to maintain lane, no driver's license, driving under the influence and open container. Bail was set at $1,787.
-- Deputies responded to the following calls:
• Checks were stolen from a mailbox in Carson City and altered in Douglas County a caller reported Friday.
• A business on William Street reported Friday one of their employees was embezzling funds.
• A juvenile on a scooter rode by a home in the 300 block of Cambridge Court and shot out a window at 9:12 p.m.
