Police have released the name of a Silver Springs teen killed in an accident Saturday morning.
Andrew "Drew" Spencer, 15, died at the scene of the accident at about 1 a.m. one mile north of Highway 50 in Silver Springs in the desert near Hackberry Street, according to Lyon County Sheriff's Capt. Jeff Page.
The driver, Christopher Calibro, 27, is expected to be charged with felony drunken driving causing death and drunken driving causing substantial bodily harm when he is released from Washoe Medical Center, where he is listed in good condition, Page said.
Two other people were taken to Washoe Medical Center by helicopter, but their names, conditions and details of the accident were unavailable, Page said.
Both alcohol and excessive speed are suspected to be factors in the crash.
