Carol Elizabeth Clift-Lynn

Carol Elizabeth Clift-Lynn, 56, of Reno died June 16, 2004.

Born to Stanley and Sallie Clift on Oct. 12, 1947, in Macon, Ga., she grew up in Lambertville, Mich., and graduated from Bedford High School. In 1968, she received her nursing degree from Toledo Hospital School of Nursing.

She worked in East Lansing, Mich., and co-founded a free medical clinic at the Drug and Education Center. While living and working in the Bay Area, she attended Golden Gate University, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in health administration, and co-founded the Holistic Health and Nutrition Institute in Mill Valley. She was a nursing supervisor for Solano County Public Health Department for 11 years.

Most recently, Mrs. Clift-Lynn worked as office nurse and manager for Edward J. Lynn, M.D., in Carson City. Friends since working as health-care volunteers in East Lansing, they married May 27, 2001.

Mrs. Clift-Lynn was an avid sailor who enjoyed traveling, hiking, biking, skiing and snowshoeing. She was involved in several crafts and enjoyed creating parties.

Among her survivors are her husband; and sisters Marcia Mills, Susan McPherson and Laurie Turner of Michigan and Barbara Howe of Missouri.

At Mrs. Clift-Lynn's request, friends are asked not to send flowers or remembrances.

The Neptune Society of Reno is in charge of arrangements.
