It's summer: Take a deep breath and smell the honeysuckle

How's your summer going so far? Is it slipping away unused? Is it going by as fast as mine? Time to take a deep breath and smell the honeysuckle.

We don't have a lot of time to enjoy warm weather here in western Nevada so take as much vacation time as you can and spend it outside with the family.

Not everyone is a winter enthusiast or enjoys indoor winter activities so those of you who resent the short, cold, winter days should get as much enjoyment as possible from summer.

Biking, rollerblading, fishing, hiking, swimming, boating, walking, gardening, soaring, flying, picnicking are just a few of the fun things you can do during the summer.

People who work indoors and those who don't like cold weather are still indoors when the sun shines. It becomes a habit to go only as far as the refrigerator. What a waste of beautiful weather. For heaven's sake, go somewhere and enjoy yourself outside for a day! You may find you actually enjoy it.

Picnics are a great reason to get out of that chair. You can still take your chair with you, if you feel insecure. Try an outdoor concert, and you can combine your picnic with the concert. The farmers market is a different way to have an outdoor experience. And you end up with all those delicious fruits and vegetables.
