Nevada Lawn wins city work

Nevada Lawn and Landscape of Reno will maintain about 33 acres of landscaped areas along soundwalls and in traffic medians throughout the city through a $62,797 contract approved by the Reno City Council last week.

The contract allows up to three oneyear extensions and provides for Nevada Lawn and Landscape to request a price increase during the option years based on consumer prices increases for the region.

The bid price by Nevada Lawn and Landscape represents a cost of about $44 per 1,000 square feet; the other bid received for the maintenance contract represented a cost of $144-$173 per $1,000 square feet.
