Sierra Pacific Power Company of Reno won the the Energy Star Leadership Award from the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy.
The award honors the company's work to raise awareness of Energy Star programs, which promote energy-efficient products and services.
As part of the program, Sierra Pacific Power provided 1,570 rebates to customers who purchased energy-smart appliances.
