Charles H. Young

Charles "Chuck" Young died March 9, 2004, in Sparks. He was born in 1921, in Syracuse, N.Y.

He received an engineering degree from Syracuse University in 1949.

Mr. Young worked for the Bendix-Westinghouse Corp. in Ohio and was branch manager of Bendix plants in Oklahoma City, Okla., Berkeley, Calif., and Reno. He later worked as a consultant for Bendix operations in England and Mexico.

He served as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

Among his survivors are his daughters Robin Felt of Sparks and Denis Budge and Alison Sarkissian-Breeden, both of Carson City; and five grandchildren.
