The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

A 29-year-old Paramount, Calif., man was arrested at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at Highway 50 East and Lompa Lane on suspicion of misdemeanor driving without a license, operating a vehicle with a suspended plate, littering and obstructing. His bail was set at $1,348.

A 71-year-old miner from Carson City was arrested at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday on Roop Street on suspicion of misdemeanor speeding, drunken driving and failure to maintain lane.

A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 9:58 a.m. Wednesday on Lee Street on suspicion of misdemeanor battery. Bail was set at $632.

A 29-year-old plumber from Carson City was arrested at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor probation violation. No bail was set. n Deputies responded to the following calls:

A 16-year-old teenager was arrested Wednesday at 2:13 p.m. in the 3300 block of South Carson Street for allegedly battering another teen. According to the police report, the two agreed to meet at Applebee's after school to fight, but the victim backed out.

A woman reported at 10:23 p.m. Wednesday a disturbing message was left on her answering machine by an unknown person.

A stereo and two speakers were reported stolen at 7:04 a.m. Thursday from a vehicle in the 3000 block of Margaret's Court.
