Manuel 'Mooch' Dick

A funeral for Manuel "Mooch" Dick, 43, a lifetime Woodfords resident, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Dick died March 22, 2004, in Woodfords. He was born May 1, 1960, in Carson City to Elmer A. and Ramona George Dick.

He was a American Indian artist and a firefighter with the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California. He was a hunter, fisherman and woodcutter.

Mr. Dick was preceded in death by his father.

Among his survivors are his daughter, Celeste Dick of Carson City; mother of Woodfords; sisters Althea of Woodfords, Lana of Sacramento, Randa Dick of Coleville, Calif., and Taryn E. Frank of Woodfords; brother, Clint "Skeedo" of Woodfords; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Burial will be at the Woodfords Indian Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
