Lorraine Emily Luiz, a Sacramento resident, died March 22, 2004, at her home after a short illness. She was born July 3, 1940, to Serafim S. and Emily E. Luiz at the Parks Victory Hospital in Napa, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Raymond E. Luiz Sr.
Among her survivors are her sister and brother-in-law Dolores G. and Jim Clark of Markleeville; sister Marjorie J. Luiz Smith of Carson City; sister and brother-in-law Maxine E. and Dennis Brown of Sparks; sister-in-law Della Luiz of Muldrow, Okla., and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private Mass and celebration of life will be at St. Gall Catholic Church. Burial will be at Fredericksburg Cemetery in Alpine County, Calif.

The Nautilus Society in Sacramento is in charge of arrangements.
