Walter Fred Mausling, 82, of Fallon died March 31, 2004, in Carson City. He was born May 28, 1921, in Minnesota.
He married Artis Gries in Minnesota, where lived for most of his life.
Mr. Mausling worked in bridge construction for the state of Minnesota. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
He served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his son Tony.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; sons Paul Mausling of Fallon and Art Luckado of Idaho; daughter, Beth McCaughin of Carson City; sister, Esther Gardner and brother, Victor of Minnesota; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
