Hal Delos Shulters

A graveside service for Hal Delos Shulters, 90, a Carson City resident for the past six years, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Shulters died May 25, 2004, in Carson City. He was born March 14, 1914, in Morenci, Mich., to George and Irene Foster Shulters.

He married Helen Hill.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Corvallis, Ore.

Mr. Shulters was a shoe repairman for 60 years. He owned and operated Dan's Shoe Repair in both Corvallis and Forest Grove, Ore., and taught shoe repair as a trade. He enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Kent, in 2003.

Among his survivors are his wife of 66 years of Carson City; sons Mike of El Dorado Hills, Calif., Dan of Ashland, Ore., and Tom of Riverside, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Ron Phillips of Carson City; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
