Marlene Olsen, president of Olsen & Associates Public Relations in Reno,won the Professional Achievement Award from the University of Nevada, Reno,Alumni Association.
Olsen, a 1974 Reynolds School of Journalism alumna, began her career in public relations as news bureau director at the Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce.
She established Olsen & Associates in 1982.
