A memorial service for Scott Robert Pepling, 41, a Walker, Calif., resident for the past year, will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Pepling died Oct. 2, 2004, in Gardnerville.
He was born March 23, 1963, in Somerville, N.J., to Muried Pepling and Patricia Kugler McLaughlin.
He graduated from Canoga Park High School in 1981.
Before moving to Walker, he lived in Canoga Park.
Mr. Pepling was a construction supervisor with Citizens For Affordable Homes.
He enjoyed scuba diving, boating and all outdoor activities.
Among his survivors are his daughter, Kayla Rae of Albuquerque, N.M.; mother and stepfather Pat and John McLaughlin of West Hills, Calif.; father and stepmother Al and Anne Pepling of Kittaning, Pa.; sister, Sherri Walker of Quartz Hill, Calif.; and brother, Todd of Pittsburgh.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
