Tanya James, Reno's lead litigation secretary with the law firm of Hale Lane, has been elected treasurer of the Sierra Nevada Association of Paralegals (SNAP), an affiliate of the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).
James, a legal assistant for 18 years, worked with firms in both Arizona and California before joining Hale Lane in 2003.
She is attending the University of Nevada, Reno and will receive her paralegal certificate in May, 2005.
James serves on the board of the Northern Nevada Golf Classic "Give Hope," as well as the St.
Jude Children's Research Hospital.
