Lyon County senior menus

The following menus are for the week of Oct. 18-22 and subject to change without notice. Choice of beverages is included with meals:

Dayton

The lunch menu for the Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road:

Monday: Chili, carrots, cornbread, apple, grape juice.

Tuesday: Honey-mustard chicken, green beans, potato wedges, roll with butter, peaches, angel food cake.

Wednesday: Sweet-and-sour pork, stir-fried veggies, mushrooms, chow mein noodles, pineapple, fortune cookie.

Thursday: Rueben sandwich, macaroni salad, sauerkraut, rye bread, pears, orange juice.

Friday: Roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans and mushrooms, apricots, roll with butter, cake and ice cream.

Silver Springs

The menu for the Silver Springs Senior Center, 1050 Pyramid Way:

Monday: Chicken in mushroom sauce, soup.

Tuesday: Chili burger, soup.

Wednesday: Pork and noodles, soup.

Thursday: Pepper steak, soup.

Friday: Turkey a la king on a biscuit, soup.

Fernley

The menu for the Fernley Senior Center 1170 W. Newlands Dr:

Monday: Beef stroganoff, mandarin orange salad, carrots, cookie.

Tuesday: Spud stuffer, carrots, green salad, pineapple.

Wednesday: Grilled ham and cheese on rye, Jell-O salad, mixed veggies, cookie.

Thursday: Chicken and dumplings, beets, spinach salad, peach crisp.

Friday: Roast pork, yams, baked apple, cabbage, bread, cake and ice cream.

Storey County

The Storey County Senior Citizens Center is on the corner of E and Mill streets in Virginia City:

Monday: Chicken and dumplings, cottage cheese and peaches, carrot sticks with ranch dressing.

Tuesday: Ham with pineapple, seven-layer veggies with cheese, wheat roll, butterscotch pudding.

Wednesday: Pork chop, scalloped potatoes, corn, pineapple and raisin salad, wheat bread, cake and ice cream.

Thursday: Mandarin chicken salad, bread sticks, carrots, cookie.

Friday: Taco pie, tortilla chips and salsa, potato salad, chocolate pudding.
