Romo has been selected to be the director of equity and diversity for Truckee Meadows Community College.
Romo previously served as the assistant administrator for the Nevada Equal Rights Commission and has conducted training sessions in Equal Employment Opportunity such as the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, sexual harassment in the workplace and affirmative action planning and implementation for diversity.
He is active in numerous community organizations, including the Nevada Hispanic Services advisory board, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Northern Nevada,Washoe County School District Educational Foundation and the Neighborhood Mediation Center board.
