Lyon County senior menus

The following menus are for the week of Nov. 1-5 and subject to change without notice. Choice of beverages is included with meals:

Dayton

The lunch menu for the Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road:

Monday: Barbecued chicken, broccoli, apricots, chocolate pudding, roll with butter.

Tuesday: French dip, mixed veggies, pasta salad, apple crisp.

Wednesday: Cabbage roll casserole, stewed tomatoes, roll with butter, peach cobbler.

Thursday: Macaroni and cheese, sliced ham, green salad, roll with butter, raspberry-cranberry salad.

Friday: Baked pollack, squash, coleslaw, tartar sauce, bread with butter, banana.

Silver Springs

The menu for the Silver Springs Senior Center, 1050 Pyramid Way:

Monday: Ham and yams, French green beans, banana, roll with butter.

Tuesday: Lasagna, garlic bread, cauliflower, apricots, sherbet.

Wednesday: Corned beef and cabbage, carrots, fresh fruit, rye bread.

Thursday: Sweet-and-sour chicken, pineapple chunks, bell pepper, carrots, chow mein noodles, stir-fry veggies.

Friday: Beef pot pie, Brussels sprouts, fruit mix, roll with butter.

Fernley

The menu for the Fernley Senior Center 1170 W. Newlands Dr:

Monday: Lasagna, green salad, mixed veggies, peaches, French bread.

Tuesday: Pork strips over rice, winter squash, fruit cup, roll, cookie.

Wednesday: French dip, pasta salad, mixed veggies, mandarin oranges.

Thursday: Barbecued chicken, pasta salad, cauliflower and broccoli, fruit.

Friday: Belgian waffle with strawberries, bacon, tomato juice.

Storey County

The Storey County Senior Citizens Center is on the corner of E and Mill streets in Virginia City:

Monday: Chili, salad, cornbread, pudding.

Tuesday: Soup and salad bar, chicken wings, fruit.

Wednesday: Spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, cobbler.

Thursday: French-dip sandwich au jus, green beans, Jell-O with fruit.

Friday: Poor man's lobster, herbed rice, veggie medley, Key lime pie.
