Candidate would advocate for children, families

Debby Dailey

Candidate: School Trustee, District 7

Describe your experience and training that qualify you for the position you are seeking.

I help teach CCD and was a lobbyist at the Nevada State Legislature. I belong to the Women's Marine Corps Auxiliary. I am a former vice president of Big Sisters of America and have chaired or served on committees for community charities and neighborhood gatherings.

What are your top three priorities for the Carson City School District for the next four years?

As a school trustee, I would be an advocate for children and families. I would encourage an open-door policy of listening and addressing the problems facing parents and children in our schools today.

I am a strong promoter of the need for basic reading skills. These basic skills are necessary in order to give children a foundation on which to build higher skills of academic achievement.

I would emphasize common-sense solutions.
