Earl L. Gibson, 86, a Silver Springs resident for several years, died Sept. 12, 2004, at Carson Convalescent Center. He was born July 2, 1918, in Oklahoma City.
He married Ruth M. Martin on March 17, 1994, in Reno.
Before moving to Silver Springs, he lived in California.
Mr. Gibson was a heavy-equipment operator throughout Nevada. He enjoyed mechanics and heavy equipment. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 3.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura M.; son Charles; four sisters; and one brother.
Among his survivors are his wife of Silver Springs; sons Earl and Edward, both of Washington state, and Robert of California; daughter, Bonnie Fox of Silver Springs; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
