Ima Helen Ragland

A funeral for Ima Helen Ragland, 77, a Carson City resident for the past three years, will be Friday in Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, Calif., with Chaplain Bill Sherrill officiating.

Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ragland died Sept., 12, 2004, in a Reno hospital. She was born Feb. 24, 1927, in Hughes, Okla.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Stockton, Calif., and Manteca, Calif.

Mrs. Ragland had many hobbies and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She married Thomas Norman Ragland Sept. 15, 1942. Her preceded her in death May 25, 2001.

Among her survivors are her daughters Glynda Sue Ragland Comer and Lilace Lajean Ragland, both of Carson City; sister, Ellen Motz of Stockton; grandchildren Brandy Sharelle Cox of Dayton, Susan Tallant of Nebraska, Tommy Rider of Washington, Lisa McNee and Michael Thomas Ragland, both of Carson City and several great-grandchildren.

A committal will be in the Garden of Trees at Cherokee Memorial Park.
