A funeral for Kathryn Vitko Sorensen, 93, a Yerington resident, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington.
Mrs. Sorensen died Sept. 20, 2004, at South Lyon Medical Center. She had been in SLMC Long Term Care since 1993.
She was born Feb. 6, 1911, on a farm in North Dakota, to Antone and Martha Fadha Vitko.
She married Nels C. Sorensen.
She moved to Yerington from Carson City to help her son, Ric, with his aviation and electronic businesses.
She was preceded in death by her husband and son.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Shirley; granddaughters Peggy, Vicky, Kathy, Julie, Tasha Sorensen, Terra Sorensen Hernandez and great-grandchildren Elizabeth and Thomas.
Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Yerington.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
