George Paul Pezzolo

A memorial service for 58-year Minden resident George Paul Pezzolo, 79, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.

Mr. Pezzolo died April 1, 2005, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Nov. 19, 1925, in San Jose, Calif., to Emilio and Mary Ferretti Pezzolo.

He married Diane J. Oct. 19, 1973, in San Jose.

Before coming to Minden, he lived in Zephyr Cove.

Mr. Pezzolo worked as a general contractor and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Tin Can Sailors and the NRA. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Among his survivors are his wife of Minden; daughters Joanne Cluff and Chris Saint-Denis, both of Carson City; son, George J. of Santa Clara, Calif.; stepson, Mitchell Jordan, of Kent, Wash.; stepdaughters Heidi Wagner of Kalispell, Mont., and Holly Nichols of Albany, Ore.; sister, Norma McKay of South San Francisco; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
