Gerry Bing, owner of Bing Materials of Gardnerville, was honored by the Nevada Chapter of the National Federation of Independent Businesses as Small Business Champion.
Bing has served terms as president of the Carson Valley Contractors Association and is a member of the Douglas County Building Industry Association, the Builders Association of Western Nevada, the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Douglas County Business Council.
He is a founding sponsor of the Summer Family Concert Series, a member of Homes of Our Own program, the Community Builder, and Bob the Builder series.
Bing is a graduate of Stanford University at Palo Alto with a degree in civil engineering.
