A celebration of life for Holger C. Jensen, 82, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mark Twain Elementary School, 2111 Carriage Crest Drive.
Mr. Jensen died April 8, 2005, in Reno. He was born April 23, 1922, in Bornholm, Denmark, to Holger and Ellen Jensen. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Jensen married Sheila Erskine in 1958 in Minden. He attended the U.S. International School in Denmark.
Mr. Jensen was a Merchant Marine (U.S. Coast Guard). He was also a crossing guard for 13 years at Mark Twain Elementary School.
He was a member of the Hi-Sea-Era Chapter of American Merchant Marine Veterans.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City.
Cremation is under the direction of Capitol City Cremation. Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
