Shane Calendine has been named scout executive and chief executive officer of the Reno-based Nevada Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
The council covers northern Nevada and northeastern California with 13,600 youth members and 3,500 volunteers.
Calendine previously served as director of field service for the Boy Scouts in Denver.
