John T. Arms Sr., 84, died April 1, 2005. He was born Feb. 7, 1921.
Mr. Arms retired as a correctional officer at San Quentin State Prison after 20 years of service.
He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in the antiaircraft artillery battalion.
Among his survivors are his wife, Joyce; son, John Jr. of Vacaville; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Roger McCaskill and granddaughter, Emily, all of Carson City; sister, Katherine Smith of Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held April 6 at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
