Paul Griffith, 80, a Gardnerville resident for the past six years, died April 24, 2005, in Gardnerville.
He was born Oct. 19, 1924, in Los Angeles to Gerald and Felicia Ivy.
He married Sylvia Griffith on Feb. 12, 1956.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Manhattan Beach, Calif.
Mr. Griffith was chief building inspector in Beverly Hills, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Among his survivors are his wife of Gardnerville; son and daughter-in-law, Paul R. and Debi; grandchildren Christopher and Brandon Griffith; great-grandchildren Makayla and Anna Griffith; sister-in-law Vera Bucolo; and several extended family members.
A private service will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to Barton Hospice.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
