Lawrence E. Holm

A graveside inurnment service for Lawrence E. Holm, 73, a Dayton resident for the past 10 years, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Dayton Cemetery with military honors.

A Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Mr. Holm died April 20, 2005, in Dayton. He was born March 1, 1932, in Cushing, Iowa, to Ben and Iva Woolridge Holm.

He married Connie Castles on April 29, 1972, in Reno.

Before moving to Dayton, he lived in San Jose, Calif., for 30 years and Pioneer, Calif., for five years.

Mr. Holm worked in the set up and repair of mobile homes for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Catholic church.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Among his survivors are his wife; stepsons Harold S. Whiteside and Mike J. Whiteside and sister, Norma Holm, all of Dayton; brother Bob of Sioux Falls, S.D.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
