Hometown Health, the insurance division of Washoe Medical Center, recognized five physician practices that achieved nationally recognized levels of quality in healthcare delivery.
Recognized were Associated Family Physicians, Great Basin Medical Group,MedSchool Associates,Reno Family Physicians and Richard Rosen, M.D.
Similar physician incentive programs have been launched by health insurers such as Aetna, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of California and Cigna Healthcare of California.
