New member sought for domestic-violence committee

Resumés are being accepted for a position on Nevada's Committee on Domestic Violence.

The committee, appointed by the attorney general, oversees programs for the treatment of people who commit domestic violence and assists law enforcement in dealing with the problem.

The committee includes two victims of domestic violence. Others come from the staff of domestic-violence programs, prosecutors, law enforcement and health care.

Applicants should include, along with a resumé, a letter of interest describing personal interest and accomplishments regarding domestic violence issues and what his or her presence could bring to the committee, as well as a letter of recommendation.

Mail them to Domestic Violence Ombudsman, Office of the Attorney General, Nevada Department of Justice, 5420 Kietzke Lane, Suite 202, Reno, NV 89511.

Applications for potential vacancies will be kept on file and reviewed as vacancies occur.
