Clifford Pinkerton

Clifford L. Pinkerton, 74, a Carson City resident for 20 years, died Feb. 4, 2005, at the Veterans Hospital in Reno.

Mr. Pinkerton was born Aug. 13, 1930, in Chulin, N.Y.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in South Lake Tahoe.

He was a custodian at Whittell High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1953.

He was a member of the American Legion, Elks Club and the Methodist Church.

Among his survivors are his wife, Lorene Pinkerton; daughters Lauren Filice of Hollister, Calif., and Cathy Hales of Ottawa, Ill.; sons Lawrence of Mustang, Charles of Anchor Point, Alaska, and Joseph of Carson City; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mountain View Mortuary in Reno is in charge of arrangements.
